Summary:
The MS Area Manager is the operations leader for a designated TEiC Mechanical Services area. Within the designated area, the MS Area Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining area customers, providing technical support to the Sales team, assisting the Service Managers with preparation of estimates and proposals, providing overall project leadership for all of the area's mechanical services projects, management of regional budgets and assets, and all reporting necessary. Responsibilities:
Assist Service Managers with preparation of estimates when necessary; review all area estimates, approve all area estimates, and facilitate transition of estimates to proposals. Leads internal RFQ evaluation process and recommends bid or no-bid based on area, region, and company (BPI/TEiC) short- and long-term strategies. Ensures submittal of proposals through internal TEiC commercial processes. Builds relationships with new and existing customers based on area, region, and company sales strategy; partners with BPI sales staff and representatives on BPI/TEiC sales strategy. Monitors TEiC project activities; ensures that project activities comply with company procedures and policies. Provides specific project support to Service Managers, when necessary. Provides project status to senior leadership; communicates challenges and recommends corrective actions in a timely manner. Leads risk analysis for project issues; recommends solution that benefit short term and long term strategies of TEiC. Leads internal and external review of area projects from sales identification through project close out. Reviews effectiveness of TEiC project leadership, coaches and mentors direct reports to facilitate positive change; recommends corrective action, including personnel change, if necessary. Completes all commercial, operational, and company reporting requirements by assigned date. Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Position Qualifications Sound understanding of project controls and project risk management tools. Technical knowledge industrial equipment and processes. In-depth understanding of project estimating. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment; capable of identifying when priority adjustments are necessary and conducting those adjustments with the least amount of impact to the business. Skills and Abilities Education:
B.S. Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience:
7-10 years in field engineering, project management, or related Required Language:
English Computer Skills:
Word, Excel, Outlook Certificates & Licenses:
None required; Preferred:
GC License, CMRP, PMP
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Construction & Real EstateEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
